The 10th Annual Napa Aloha Festival was a great way to spend a September week-end and Hula Mai helped make that giant event an even more giant success. Hula Mai did three scheduled events. We began with a half hour show on the big stage Saturday morning, starring: Toni, Fran, Stephanie, Linda Balanesi, Carolyn, April, Kim, Linda Green, Lois and Lynda MM. The pleasure in our hula was all the sweeter because we had the honor of dancing to the heartfelt tones of Kumu Liko Puha’s singing.
Toni, Carolyn and April were absolutely terrific doing He Motu, with vocal help from Lois and Linda G. Good teamwork!!

We also were “feather crafters in action” at Bob Miyashiro’s table of Hulu Art and Feather craft - and very much all over the place just having a good time!!

Sunday, Jana, Carolyn and Celina all helped Betty Ann enormously at two workshops. They taught Sonoma (Napa) No Ka `Oi in the workshop for the grownups and Sassy Little Mynah Bird in the workshop for kids. Both workshops were well-attended and very fun.
